Why should anyone support Ride 4 Refugees? Why, since 2018, have non-professional volunteers ridden bicycles and served as crew on 5 epic adventures? Why have we ridden 10,340 miles for over 560 hours? Why have we bicycled twice from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean? Why have we ridden from Mexico to Canada? Why have we biked in 30 different States? Why have we raised $530,000? Good questions, right!?
Because of our love for Jesus and His call to love Him by loving the “least of these”. We are compelled to do this as effectively as we can according to who we are, and our abilities. Jesus said, “I was hungry and you fed me, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was homeless and you gave me room, I was shivering and you gave me clothes, I was sick and you stopped to visit, I was in prison and you came to me.”
Just this past July Heart for Lebanon helped 36,000 “least of these”. They aided with such things as food, clothing, shelter, and education all in the name of Jesus. And they do so regardless of the person’s nationality or religion.
100% of what is donated to Ride 4 Refugees through Hope Community Church is used to support the “least of these.” 90% goes to Heart for Lebanon and 10% to local efforts.
Why should anyone involve themselves with and/or support Ride 4 Refugees? The better question is, “Why not?” After all, so many things and investments in our lives, have so very little to do with actually helping the “least of these”. This is a trusted and proven way to make a very real difference in many desperate lives all in the name of Jesus and is also a clear cut and practical way to love Him.
