Ride for Refugees rider Jeff Seal

Jeff Seal

My wife and three kiddos live here in Wichita, KS. I’m the Director of Originations for a startup called GROUNDFLOOR, Inc.

Throughout my childhood I was a speed skater. I competed in the National Inline Racing Association, as well as the Professional Inline Racing Series, where I spent time at the Olympic training center. At the time, cycling was used as a training tool, but soon became a focused passion of mine once I got older. Nowadays, if it has two wheels and is in need of a power source, I’m in! Mountain, gravel, or road – I’m ready to tackle it.

As a man of faith, I would occasionally struggle with my cycling as I felt it was an act that seemed to serve only one. To lessen this over the years, I’ve looked for ways to co-align my cycling and faith through initiatives like Ride 4 Refugees. (A couple of others worth a mention are a cycling team started called the Nedrogs of Hope, then most recently, the Wichita Young Life Cycling Club.)

There are few things more exciting to me than aligning these two great passions of mine – cycling and God’s work – alongside a group of men who share the same desire for adventure and absurdity that comes with doing such a beautiful thing for such a beautiful cause!
